Terms of Service
Last updated: July 15, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using the Keylime website, dashboard, API, SDK, and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use Keylime for an organization, you confirm you can bind that organization.
2. The Service
Keylime provides hosted software licensing and client authentication. Sellers can create apps, mint and import keys, define subscription types, bind validation to HWID, manage users and sessions, configure webhooks, host files, and create reseller seats.
Keylime is not a payment processor for software you sell to end buyers and does not take a cut of those sales. Checkout between you and your customers stays on your side.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 16 (or older if your local law requires it) to register. Provide accurate details and keep passwords, session cookies, API keys, and reseller logins confidential. Activity under your account is treated as yours. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Plans and billing
Features depend on your plan (see Pricing). You may activate plans via paid checkout, plan codes, or other activations we enable (including sandbox or promotional grants). Limits and payment methods can change; the dashboard reflects what applies to your account.
Misuse of codes or promotions may lead to revocation. Unpaid balances or abuse may lead to feature limits or suspension after notice when practical.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Bypass or tamper with auth, HWID locks, bans, reseller balances, or other Service controls.
- Use Keylime to distribute malware, steal credentials, or attack others.
- Overwhelm the Service with abusive traffic, or probe systems beyond normal API use.
- Resell Keylime itself as a competing hosted licensing product without written permission (selling your own software licensed through Keylime is allowed).
- Misrepresent affiliation with Keylime.
6. API and SDK
We grant a limited license to use our APIs and SDKs to integrate licensing into your software. Keep developer API keys on trusted backends. Do not ship seller secrets in public clients.
We may throttle or temporarily suspend access after failed logins, abuse, or traffic that threatens stability. SDK samples are provided as-is; you remain responsible for how validation lives in your binaries.
7. Your content and end-users
You own your apps, keys, customer relationships, and uploads. You grant Keylime a license to host and process that content only to provide the Service. You are responsible for end-user disclosures and privacy rules in your markets. Validation data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Reseller seats
If you create reseller seats, you remain responsible for their minting, balances you assign, and disputes with those partners. Revoking a seat does not undo keys already minted.
9. Intellectual property
Keylime branding, dashboard UI, backend software, and docs (excluding your content and third-party open source) belong to Keylime and its licensors. These Terms do not transfer that ownership to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party vendors for email, captcha, fingerprinting, and plan payments. Their uptime and policies are outside our sole control.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that validation will stop all piracy, or that files will never be lost.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keylime is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising from use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid Keylime for the Service in the three months before the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100), except where law forbids such a limit.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Keylime against claims arising from your software, end-users, content, misuse of the Service, or violation of these Terms or law.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Keylime and request account closure via support@keylime.cc. Sellers can delete apps and related data in the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, pose a security risk, fail payment obligations, or engage in abuse.
Provisions that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) continue after termination.
15. Changes
We may revise these Terms and post the current version here with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. If you disagree, stop using the Service and request closure.
